hi, i'm piper treble-clef, the golden horned cricket

I love to sing over and over again, sometimes in rhythm and rhyme. To help with school classes, I make up songs that help me remember the alphabet or math equations; I sing the numbers again and again until I get them all right. 

I listen to slow and soft music when I am feeling sad and blue, but when I’m feeling happy and energetic I like to play with my favourite jumpy fun loving tunes. 

Sometimes it is difficult to get my attention as I usually have my ears covered with giant headphones blasting with music. I hum when I’m brushing my teeth! I LOVE to sing in the shower, and I am almost always tapping my lap like a drum when I am meant to be eating dinner!

I whistle with the wind and chant to the moon. My head is filled with lullabies that soothe me while I fall asleep at night. My favourite class at school is music and my much loved instrument of choice is the xylophone because of its magical sounds and dreamlike echoes. I actually hear music in everything. 

Whether I hear rain falling onto the roof or birds chirping in the morning, I hear music in all that surrounds me. Even when I receive hugs and kisses, I hear a song. I knock with my feet to the sound of the beat while breathing in songs life sings.
