I draw and paint what I see around me and what I feel inside my heart. My eyes are sharp, my vision is clear and I have the power to see brightness and colour in every move I make.
My imagination is so big that I can imagine faces and made-up creatures in the cracks of the walls and the creases in the floors. Everything surrounding me is a picture waiting to be painted or an invention waiting to be crafted. If I ever feel lonely or in need of a friend I create my own little beings that never leave my side.
Have I told you that I love to watch movies? I sometimes even imagine movies while lazing by the sparkling sea on my Rainbow Rock. I love visiting art museums and taking in the art and pictures that surround me. Not a day goes by that I don’t carry around my notebook and sketching tools; I am always doodling and making my creations come to life. I almost always have a stain of paint on my fur, especially blue – it’s my favourite colour! I don’t let it bother me as it reminds me that I am an artist.
When I make mistakes or colour outside the lines, I am creating art that is unexpected and beautiful. Everything in our world is a picture to me. Everything is spaced exactly as it is meant to be. Come lye by the relaxing waters filled with shades and shadows with me. Together we can daydream about the many shapes and colours that make up the pictures that have ever been.
“Paint your heart out and create your own world full of imagination and colour. Life can be a dream.”
- Matisse
Every colour of the rainbow has its own unique charm. The one you are drawn to the most is the one that is the most like you! I have a different favourite colour every day...that must mean I keep changing!
If you choose to paint with your heart, you can never mess up. It is when we let our mind take control of the creating that gets in the way. Unlike your mind, your heart will never doubt what your art looks like..
Be kind to your creations, for they are a part of you.
I'm sorry parents! But if you allow your inner artist to shine - you have to let yourself be free! This might mean some paint blotches on your pants from time to time or some glitter in your hair. I'm not saying do it on purpose...but if you find your way there, I say - embrace it!
